The Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to protecting our freedom to publicly pray and express our faith in God and securing Judeo-Christian principles as the foundation of America and criterion in the marketplace of ideals.

Thomas Jefferson stated in a tract in which he laid out the justifications for the American Revolution, "Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?"
